Something in another thread made me think of this and I figured I would ask on a separate thread to get an answer.
In one of the conference championship games Saturday night, a player was mentioned as having played the first four games of the season, then the decision was made to redshirt him, but he was playing in the conference championship since post season games do not count towards redshirt eligibility.
One thing I have learned is that most announcers don’t know what they are talking about, but this sounded feasible. Is it true that post season games do not count? If so, that’s one of the few good rules we have in place.
