Update post lemonade stand. Dylan was able to raise just over $7,500 for pediatric cancer research through her two lemonade stands and online donations. Our family can't thank yall enough!! Here's a pep rally at her middle school...it was wear pink for cancer awareness day.

Wanted to give everyone an update on Dylan and put out a small request.
Update -
First off, she is doing great. She had her one year anniversary from "ringing the bell" on September 15th. Since then, she has gotten her new leg, learned how to walk again, finished up elementary school, started middle school, and ventured into learning sports again. Here's a quick clip of beginning volleyball.
Since Ewing's sarcoma is such an aggressive type of cancer, she is on a regular scheduled protocol for the immediate 5 years post treatment. I'm happy to report that her first 3 rounds of post treatment bone and lung scans have come back clean. She still has NED (no evidence of disease). We go for round 4 of scans this Tuesday and Wednesday again at Texas Children's, and while they are always a bit stressful, we expect continued positive results.

Dylan realizes she was lucky, she won by beating cancer. However, many of her friends she met in treatment were not so lucky. Some are still fighting.....and some are not.
When Dylan learned that only 4% of the annual budget from the National Cancer Institute was allocated to children, she decided to do something about it.
This Saturday, September 29th, she will hold her first fundraiser for pediatric cancer research. Dylan's Lemonade Stand will be serving "cups of golden hope" and taking donations in hopes of finding a cure for this awful disease. We have partnered with a local Houston organization, Sky High, to raise funds and awareness for pediatric cancer. We have set up an online donation page through Sky High to contribute to her efforts (see link below). I ask that you take a look at her page and contribute to her cause. All donations will be allocated to her goal and go toward childhood cancer research.
