I can get lost in thinking about this. I do believe there is life out there, but can't even begin to fathom what form it might take. I guess if we accept the building blocks of life everywhere in the universe are the same as what's been observed on this planet, then perhaps the life could look similar to some known earth life. But generally I think it's funny when aliens are depicted anything like known life on earth.
