First of all, great team win coming from behind. Thinking about the biggest surprise and perhaps the biggest concern looking forward, what happened to our defensive line? Watching the game it was clear they were dominated, and the numbers confirm that. Washington and Hilliard combined for 21 tackles, and Watts had 14, but Hall led linemen with 5 stops and Mack had 3, nobody else with more than 2.

Those numbers by themselves aren't much of a surprise as defensive linemen don't put up big tackle numbers. The big story IMO iswe DID NOT HAVE A SINGLE TFL on a run play all night. 42 carries, and not a single TFL (we did have 2 sacks). On the other hand, we ran it only 20 times and Arkansas managed 3 tackles for loss (plus 2 sacks).

By comparison, Toledo recorded 5 TFLs on only 31 Arkansas carries, and Tech had 3 TFLs on 43 Arkansas carries. For whatever reason, our talented and very deep defensive line was a pretty much non factor in the run game and they never really put Arkansas behind the chains all night. They'll have to do better against Bama, LSU, and Ole Miss.
