I'm going to take Coach Elko's brief tenure a little different direction by spinning it up against the big news out of Tuscaloosa this week. Let's all just think back the challenges Coach Elko had to face coming into the job. Disorganized dysfunctional program which in the end had to spend a ludicrous amount of money to get out of a bad contract. Contrast that with a guy who came to the office at 0700 to help with the transition on the day after he "retired." So, getting backing to Coach Elko's "to do list" (Off the top of my head, but I'll miss a lot...):
Dang Good Gig'em!!!
- Relocate
- Rub elbows
- Find an hour or two for sleep
- Build relationships
- Sign a deal
- Evaluate a staff
- Evaluate a roster
- Fire/interview/hire staff (all concurrently)
- Re-recruit roster
- Re-recruit class (much different)
- Sign class
- Recruit portal
- Myriad of other daily or weekly tasks to numerous to list
Dang Good Gig'em!!!
