"What would happen if Texas A&M held a public press conference and announced that Johnny Manziel had sold his autograph, but that A&M was playing him anyway because the rule is stupid and the NCAA can't be trusted to adequately enforce the rules of the sport?

I think the public would cheer. An organization without the power to enforce it's rules is worthless. And right now the NCAA lacks the power to enforce it's rules."

Clay Travis Article

So this blogger named Clay says he has conducted a poll which shows massive support for johnnie. I wonder what other bloggers are saying and how much weight would anyone give some blogger. maybe I should conduct a poll also. Maybe not a poll in houston but to be fair maybe conduct this poll say in Pa. I wonder if the result would be different.

Who cares about what bloggers/people think? I for one don't because it's all about who you root for as to how you vote on such players or schools. The premise of the article wasn't based upon his poll results.

Some background on Clay for those who are unfamiliar with him: He co-hosts a radio show in Nashville and is a Vols fan. He's written a few books about college football in the south. He's a big fan of Tebow and Johnny Football. He's as big of an SEC fan as you're gonna find. Most Bama fans despise him because he takes jabs at how many idiots we have in our fan base (although I actually like him). He's pretty controversial in what he says, but that equals good ratings for his radio show and tons of fans calling him out on Twitter and in the comment section of his articles. And he's overly obsessed with what the odds are in Vegas about every game/situation.

Yo Chile. My other post to you was too long. Here are the 100% unadulterated facts: If the NCAA wants Manziel, he is toast. No proof needed, no long list of facts. They may or may not wish to explain themselves. You evidently have not paid attention to them. They may drop this thing and walk away. Or, they may put a professional spear right through aTm and Manziel's heart. I promise you they have already made their decision. Everything happening now is simply smoke and mirrors. MM

The NCAA is no longer an organization concerned with fair play and rule enforcement, its all about the profit. They have their rules written so there is a lot of gray area that can be enforced in a subjective manner. If it is a player who will have little effect on the NCAA's profit he will be guilty of charge offense, if he is high profile and the NCAA is making huge profits off of him he will be fine. Is this fair, no but it is the way the NCAA runs its organization.

The NCAA has no interest in a level playing field, tOSU wouldn't have been able to use 5 suspended players in their bowl win over Arky, Bama wouldn't be able to have 95+ players on their team from signing day till Aug1, but they aren't interested in either of those things, both make the NCAA big money.

The NCAA is an organization of member universities. They are in fact the universities you support. Of course if you do not like what they did on a specific issue it helps to believe that this organization is "they" and surely not "us".
