Honeycutt will be competing on a TV screen near you once again, but it won’t be football. CBS has announced Honeycutt as a contestant for the 17thseason of the popular show ‘Big Brother.’

If you are unfamiliar with the program, it is a contest which requires houseguests to live together and compete in various challenges to avoid being “evicted”/eliminated. Contestants are under constant surveillance and do not have access to the outside world.

Basically, imagine “Survivor” meets “The Real World” and you have Big Brother, a show that is wildly-successful with the younger demographic.

The show first aired in 1999 when Honeycutt, now 23, was a little too young to make the cut.

Still living in College Station as a graduate student, Honeycutt describes himself as “driven, sarcastic, and athletic” in his Big Brother profile and believes the most difficult part of the show will “probably be not seeing or communicating with my family. Oh, yeah, and the fact that there will be cameras on you 24/7”

Honeycutt redshirted for A&M in 2010 followed by a four-year playing career in College Station.

The 17th season of Big Brother premieres Wednesday, June 24.
