Probably more to come if Trump doesn't start polling better.

Republican Sen. Ben Sasse excoriated President Trump in a telephone conference call with constituents this week, saying he had mishandled the coronavirus response, "kisses dictators' butts," "sells out our allies," spends "like a drunken sailor," mistreats women, and trash-talks evangelicals behind their backs.

Trump has "flirted with white supremacists," according to Sasse, and his family "treated the presidency like a business opportunity." He said Trump could drive the Senate into the hand of the Democrats and cause permanent damage to the Republican Party.

Sasse spokesman James Wegmann confirmed that his boss made the comments, saying the call occurred earlier this week.

“I don’t know how many more times we can shout this: Even though the Beltway is obsessing exclusively about the presidential race, control of the Senate is ten times more important,” he said in a statement to the Washington Examiner. "The fragile Senate seats that will determine whether Democrats nuke the Senate are the races Ben cares about, the races he’s working on, and the only races he’s talking about.”

37 Republican senators have voted more in line with Trump's positions than Sasse while 15 Republican senators rank below him.

MAGA math says there are 16 RINOs in the Senate.

Sass is a RINO bitch. Don’t care who he’s talking to or what he’s saying
So it's impossible to be a Republican without being a Trumpist first.
Sasse has supported/voted in line with Trump's positions over 86% of the time.

We'll see how many congressmen are true Trump believers like BDB and wick and the like.
I would bet not many. Maybe Gohmert. He seems like the type.
That is the thing about surrounding yourself with fellow conmen.
Trump is just a useful idiot to those guys.

You mean like the Biden’s grift of foreign countries type con man? Like the stories Twitter and the media is trying to suppress. How much was for sale in the Obama administration between Biden and Hillary. The last two democrat presidential nominees. These establishment types have been screwing us over forever. You can’t tell me Trump who owns properties all over took this job to enrich his family like Biden has done for 47 fvcking years. Ben Sasse is a punk who’s beholden to the establishment. I’m sure he’s looking for some kind press like he was on the border battle for the wall. Guy sucks and only thing worse than him in that seat is a democrat

Less about his voting. Guy just sucks

He has overwhelmingly voted on legislation in line and in support of the President's positions. If we can agree that actions speak louder than words, he cannot legitimately be classified as a RINO.

I love how everyone is a armchair QB on this. No one considers that maybe....just maybe that where we are was a best case scenario for what we were dealing with. I remember early estimates were 2.2 million dead. We are a tenth of that. Biden can't give any plan that is different from what Trump is doing plus Biden with H1N1 allowed 9 times as many people to get infected. Lucky for America it wasn't an airborne disease.

So "slightly less" because they are black and mayors from working class areas. I think you are really defining the issues with your party.

I haven’t ever heard this poster denounce white supremacy. I wonder why that is?

That was objectively stupid. Politically speaking senators, congressmen, governors, secretaries of states, heads of the CIA and FBI, etc are more distinguished than mayors. But you know that.

Why doesn’t that happen in reverse. Plenty of dems have lost power. They don’t support trump.
Because they’re all part of the swamp that despises Trump and much of the American people. You know the people like Biden and the Clintons who are all in on selling their power for personal and family enrichment.
It’s where the term deplorable comes from. Trump is an outsider like his base and the establishment hates him more than they do each other. He’s actually trying to do what he says and they hate him for it. So the gaslightthe world with the help of the media

I don’t know how that explains all the high ranking republicans that are supporting Biden. I get it won’t, nor should it, change your opinion or vote, but does it not at all raise an eye? It’s completely unprecedented. Some of these are people who have far more inside information than we do. Some are people Trump hired.

Unfortunately it doesn’t. I have such low regard for anyone who is part of that culture that has been created in DC I just don’t trust any of their motivations or statements. They blackmail people to influence them or have them bought off. It’s been happening my entire life. Some politician runs on specific issues and they never do anything of substance for decades but run around town and on TV and call everyone their “friend”. They never get shit done and the country has been on a steady decline for decades because of it. Our middle class has been shrinking for decades due mostly to wage stagnation the and DC swamp both sides refused to do anything about illegal immigration. Every policy made damn near everything more difficult for people like me trying to stay in the middle class. You can say what you want about the man but he’s done way more to convince me he means what he says and busts his ass to get it done. The swamp and media hate the man and that’s about enough for me.

I agree with most of that. Campaign promises are akin to student counsel ones. And I agree that for better or worse, Trump has tried to keep more than most do.

Do you believe Trump kept his promise to drain the swamp? I just don’t see how the people he has brought in are any different.

I can see that. Honestly I think he came in and tried to work with the old guard and it backfired. Look at the unprecedented leaks and blatantly made up crap about him and his administration. Reality is you can’t really come in there with a completely new force of outsiders. Especially with the treatment people get from the media. Look what they did to Sarah Sanders or Michael Flynn. The freaking FBI framed Flynn and spied on Carter Paige. Trump has been playing defense most of the time because of the actions of the Hillary campaign, the FBI, the media, the democrats and some republicans.
To find a workforce large enough and qualified enough to run many of these government systems just can’t be done. That doesn’t mean that the people in that cabal aren’t anywhere from corrupt to treasonous on a mass scale.
To answer the question no he hasn’t drained the swamp but he’s poked a few holes and he’s trying. Give him 4 more years and we may know much more about the Durham findings, the Binden family grift and possibly more on the Clintons. Those actions won’t do much but I hope it gives more cover to whistle blowers in the system willing to come out of the shadows as they feel that there is actually justice and won’t end up like Seth Rich. There is so much corruption and dirty money it’s sickening when people like me just want to work hard and provide for my family. I want everyone to prosper and higher taxes and more regulation promised by the other side is a big hurdle for that to happen in my opinion.

I think we may shave more in common than I’d have thought before. I especially agree with the last part, and on both sides. It’s sad.

One thing that I don’t understand is the total all in nature of Trump supporters. There are things he’s done I think are good. There are things democrats from Biden down have done that I don’t support. But many (not all) Trump supporters will never say “I don’t like this thing he did.” I have never seen that type of loyalty to a candidate or president.

For example, today he supported his retweeting of the idea Bin Laden wasn’t killed and Obama killed seal team 6 members. There is no benefit to America for the president to even tacitly endorse that conspiracy theory.

Which one of those "high ranking" RINOs hold power anymore?

Tell me what you support of Biden? I don't support all the deficit spending (but both sides do it now). I don't support the federal government doing infrastructure spending outside of federal highways systems and other historically federal supported things. Those are Trump stances I don't support. But there is NOTHING I support of Biden's plans. He is wrong on everything and people that have worked with him have said as much. He is a 47 year disaster, there is a reason he could never gain traction in a Democrat primary before he was VP, everyone knows he is a walking disaster.

And did you read the article, outside of Blago (who cares about him) everyone else were black former democrats or mayors from the iron range..working people. So those are who you called "slightly less". your words not mine.

Honestly I think it has to do with the way he’s been treated. His supporters feel that’s somewhat how they are being screwed over again by the people we send all our taxes to. I’m not on Twitter and really think he stepped on his dick there a little but the platform is a cesspool so it’s par for the course. Overall after watching my government mobilize in an effort to push out the only president I’ve ever seen actually try as hard as he could to hold up to what he ran on makes me sick. The establishment, FBI, CIA, big tech, media, Hollywood and the democrat party have all tried to take down the president we elected. All on a story payed for by Hillary Clinton. He was elected in the first place as a middle finger to those very people and they don’t seem to see that what they do to him his supporters feel is being done to them in some respect.

Like why does Trump get grilled tonight with an obviously combative host while Biden was in a softball cage. The unprofessionalism shown with Trump by the media is met with the response of a builder from New York City and people are surprised? I’m sick of the Republican candidate just taking it to look better. It’s bullshit. Trump fights back for once. Why doesn’t anyone ever question why the media has NEVER treated him presidential nor have they allowed for a peaceful transition of power. The previous administration was spying on them for Christ sake. All the way into the presidents administration.
That’s why trump supporters don’t trust the bullshit stories and overlook a bunch of things that are unseemly on the surface. They have been told to overlook Bill Clinton and an intern having fun with a cigar in the whitehouse but they should trust a story about Trump paying prostitutes in Russia to piss on a mattress the obamas slept on. It’s insulting and after awhile you don’t give a damn who the guy is pushing back. It’s a lot like how JFF was cringeworthy at times but he’s our guy. And our guy actually wants to fight for a change

that is very interesting - "all-in supporters of Trump". The libs are much more in lock step with the socialist democracy (which is socialism) so not really understanding the distinction. this weird push about obamacare, repealing social security, and abortion which is absurd arguments to hold the ground on.

Now you are finally seeing evidence of all of the tactics they did to the Trump campaign and pushing the Russian hoax for almost 4 yrs so again, not sure why you are concerned about pushing conspiracy theories? Now Biden's outdoing of Clinton's grifting is finally surfacing and media is suppressing it? that should be alarming. guess it is fine if the ends justify the means? how long before they turn on those of the libs that aren't far enough leftist? happened to Russians, Chinese, Vietnamese, and all of the countries turning communists.

and last but not least, already so many instances of voter fraud happening and yet libs continue to push the fallacy of its legitamacy.

All RINOs too?

Lost me at John Brennan, if they are associated to him then yes all RINOs as well. You think there is a limited amount of them? And honestly, do you think one name on that list is going to defer one vote?
