If I remember correctly you are the one that hunts Kansas whitetail.
Are you in the Houston area, and if so, what part of Kansas do you hunt?
I'm trying to map out my route for my trip this fall to SE Kansas and curious about your thoughts on the best way to go. Hard to tell when looking at a map if the shortest route by distance is quicker or staying on Interstates will be better. I'm likely leaving very early on a Saturday morning so not expecting that traffic will be much of an issue in any of the cities.
We will be in unit 11, plan on staying in Uniontown, but hopefully the piece we hunt is a little north of there - it tends to be slightly better as I understand it. I went a few years ago and really enjoyed it, but my buddy and I drove together from central TX. He has been going the last few years and they had a spot for me again this year. Looking forward to it again!
