And not in a good way. The school tried to eliminate Public Administration as a degree major and the athletic dept intervened. It seems there are about 111 students at Auburn enrolled in PA and 51% of them are scholarship athletes, including the starting QB and 6 other football starters. Football players make up 26 of the 111 students in PA. The athletic department even offered to pay the professor's salaries to keep the program active. A faculty committee voted 13-0 to eliminate the major and it's still going strong. I have a funny feeling A&M has something similar but as a proud recipient of an Aggie Political Science degree I hesitate to criticize anyone's choice of majors.
