Anyone do the math on this? We are .5 game ahead of the Angels for the second Wild Card spot. 2.5 games behind the Rangers. We finish with 3 games at Seattle and 3 at Arizona. With the exception of Arizona's De La Rosa, the pitchers we face don't have great records.
Rangers have their final 7 at home. 3 against Detroit. 4 against the Angels.
Angels host Oakland for 3 games and then travel to Texas for their last 4.
The Angels/Rangers series is weird because it's zero sum. It could be good for us if we are just looking to clinch Wild Card. Division not so much, because the Angels would pass us. Right? I'm guessing we will have a clearer picture of what we want/need when that last series starts.
Any thoughts?
