All the prognosticators focused on the prolific Aggie offense instead of pointing out the obvious, the Alabama defense is flat out good. We had to play at our level to beat them and instead we got a deer-in-the-headlights performance from our Heisman-touted QB who was replaced by our Heisman-touted fish QB who got handed plays that had nothing to do with his skill set. And we have one very tough but very average RB and some flat-dicking backups who ought to be in some rehab ward somewhere, how we keep recruiting medical red shirts is a mystery to me. Allen needs to shoulder a large portion of this outcome, he made a good Alabama D look awesome, but at the same time there is no reason for +300 pound linemen to get manhandled by similar sized defenders. And I would lead a Yell Practice inside the local Planned Parenthood center if Spavital found a way to get hired by some school that appreciates his skills...Vasser appears to be a good fit.
