Assuming no or minimal weather delays. We are playing game one tonight.
Two key things I am looking for tonight
1. I want Prager to continue to do his thing. Throw strikes and get ahead. And I don’t want him throwing uncompetitive waste pitches 2 ft off the plate, But once ahead 0-2 or 1-2, and if he is commanding the ball I want to see him work a ball or so off the plate and hopefully get some swing and misses. Additionally, if state wants to swing early in counts because of Pragers reputation, I would like to see a quick adjustment and start AB’s off the plate.
2. When we have a starting pitcher, or any for that matter, on the ropes. Don’t let the threat stall out. Work AB’s, get walks if they give them, put the ball in play and make them make plays, but limit the strike outs. Also when less than two outs, would like to see situational hitting and if we just need a fly out. To center or right I would like to see it executed.
Start is right at bed time so might be sporadic till that’s done.
