So today I am very fortunate. At 630 this morning I was on a bike ride for my triathlon training when a semi's trailer clipped me and smashed me into the ground. Amazingly I have no broken bones but have some terrible road rash. I was taken to the ER and knew it was a serious crash. My friend that was riding with me brought me my helmet this afternoon and it was completely busted in 4 places. I truly believe that If I was not wearing that helmet I would not be alive right now. Please do not go for a ride without a helmet. That small piece of plastic and styrofoam could save your life.
