As I stated in another thread earlier this week, I have a herniated disk problem. Had an MRI last week...results given to me on Monday. My general doc is on vacation for two weeks and his nurse referred me to the Azalea Clinic in Tyler and a Dr. Schwarzbach. Problem is, nobody there could see me this week to give a spinal injection. Our great AY member, abbimaci, who is a chiropractor in Lufkin, hooked me up with his buddy who does this for a living...in Lufkin. Through numerous phone calls on abbimaci's part, I got an appointment for 1:30pm today. First I had to wait out the snow and ice this morning before leaving...but had to drive to Tyler Open MRI in Tyler to pick up the cd/disc of my MRI...then drive to Lufkin...all in all, a 3 1/2 hour trip. Then, not knowing if his doctor friend could get the injection scheduled today, he saw my cd/disc, pointed out the two herniated disk between the C3 - C4 vertebrae as well as between the C6 - C7 (much worse). After he called his x-ray technician, who is a lady Ag alum, she agreed to come over for the injection, I was confirmed to receive TODAY...and not have to drive back over tomorrow which is the day they normally schedule injections. I'm not sure if the injection will work but does not matter...I'm leaving Sunday for Mexico and did not want to be down there 3 1/2 weeks with this unbearable and excruciating pain.
