33 TEXAS A&M FOOTBALL PLAYERS ON NFL TRAINING CAMP ROSTERS
COLLEGE STATION—A total of 33 Texas A&M football players are in the various NFL training camps battling for roster spots as the football season draws near.
The longest tenured Aggie in the league is All-Pro punter Shane Lechler with the Houston Texans. Lechler begins his 17th season in the NFL after being a fifth-round selection in the 2000 NFL draft.
A former free agent deep snapper, Don Muhlbach, begins his 13th season snapping in the NFL with the Detroit Lions.
The Seattle Seahawks have five Aggies in training camp.
For the sixth straight year, the Aggies had a first-round NFL draft pick and for the fourth straight year it was an offensive lineman as Germain Ifedi was selected by the Seattle Seahawks.
The defending Super Bowl Champion Denver Broncos are led by Aggie Gary Kubiak who was recently named a Lifetime Achievement Award winner by the Texas A&M Lettermen’s Association. Bronco linebacker Von Miller is the reigning Super Bowl MVP.
Six Aggies are coaching in the NFL and three of those are with the New Orleans Saints’ coaching staff.
