Unanimously, FBS coaches today voted in favor of a proposal to limit the portal to 10 days (Jan. 2-12) and wipe out the April window entirely. Graduates can still go in whenever, and I'm sure they would make accommodations for the teams in the playoffs.
This is just a recommendation, but it will move to the NCAA oversight committee and, eventually, the NCAA Division I council for possible approval.
Bluntly, I'm down with this. The current structure is a disaster.
